Plant Kingdom
In the plant kingdom, the parallel evolution occurs between angiosperms and animals, mostly insects. One can not live without the other. For example without Bee's pollination can't happen, the bee's transfer the pollen from one flower to another. This parallel evolution is very important, without plants most animals nutrition sources would be gone. Both organisms are somewhat dependent on each other.
Bryophytes, Pteridophytes & GymnospermsBryophytes are non vascualr plants were as pteridophytes and gymnosperms are not.
In bryophytes the gametophyte generation is dominant . In the others the sporophytic generation is dominant. Ferns are seedless plants while gymnosperms as well as angiosperms are seed bearing plants. Although the Gymnosperms have advanced roots both bryophytes and pteridophytes have roots as well. |
